Beach In Bali

Beach In Bali

Bali has had an image of bliss, probably since as early as the 1930’s. To this day it remains one of the most popular tourist destinations out of the whole 17000 islands that make up Indonesia. With a selection of the finest beaches in the world, and arguably some of the finest Bali beach resorts to boot, it’s easy to see why tourist flock back year after year.

There’s so much to offer in Bali – it’s home to an incredible variety of flora and fauna, and home to a wide diversity of wildlife. It doesn’t take long to explore the island either – it’s only around 70 miles East to West, and just over 100 Miles North to South. Bali’s landscape includes stunning mountains – two of which are actually active volcanoes. Although many don’t leave the beach area (and who could blame them) I fully recommend spending at least a day or two away from the beach by taking advantage of one of the many reasonably priced local excursions.

Probably the best Bali beach resort locations are the resorts to the South of the island. Kuta is particularly famous with tourists, and its close proximity to the airport makes it an ideal destination for those looking for quick weekend getaway.

Kuta is packed with great restaurants and bars, and is known for having one of the best beaches on the island. A resort on the best beach in Bali comes with a price tag, but there are also many other great accommodation options for those on a budget. That’s the reason why Bali is so popular with backpackers – because of the range of excellent, well-priced hostels.

If you’ve come to Bali in search of pure luxury, then you should be looking to stay in Nusa Dua. It’s where the latest ‘hip’ crowd enjoys cocktails by the beach, and is home to nearly every international five star hotel chain. Another popular Bali destination with the well-to-do is the Tanjung Benoa area.

It doesn’t really matter where on the island you choose to lay your head; the daily activities are great all over the island, and easy to get to. Be sure to try out a range of water sports including surfing and diving, but save some energy for the night time.

For those looking for a simple, relaxing break, Jimbaran is probably the place you want to be. They offer a mixed -range of hotels and beach resorts, but it’s a bit further away from the hectic Kuta, so it’s great if you’re into sunbathing.

Just remember that when visiting Bali, it doesn’t really matter whether you’re visiting a luxury Bali beach resort, private villa, or mid to low range backpackers lodge, the beauty of Bali is there to behold. I’m sure wherever you stay you’ll have a great time. Just remember to pack your sun screen!
